OUR READING
What the specs
mean on court
On the numbers, the Alkemia Ignis 2026 makes most sense for intermediate left-side players, advanced attackers, beginners and intermediate right-side players.
A teardrop head is the middle ground: a little more reach and power than a round frame, a bigger sweet spot than a diamond. The medium core is a compromise between comfort and a crisp response.
Against the Alkemia Ignis 2025, the published specs changed in 2 places:
- Weight: 345 to 375 g in 2025, 350 to 360 g in 2026.
- Face: Double layer of medium-hardness carbon fiber in 2025, Double layer of 3K carbon fiber, medium hardness in 2026.
If the older Alkemia Ignis 2025 is on sale, it is usually the better value: most season changes are cosmetic or small.
These scores assume the answers of a typical player of each type. The free racket finder scores it for your own answers, and the Padel AI app goes further: film one match and it scores your real technique, then re-ranks all 1,418 rackets for the way you actually play.
