Film one match
Prop your phone at one end of the court, ideally raised behind the glass. Portrait or landscape both work. One to five minutes of real rallies is enough.
THE SCAN
Film one match on your phone, upload it, and Padel AI watches it the way a coach would. You get a score for every technique, a shortlist of the mistakes costing you points, and the drills that fix them.
HOW IT WORKS
No sensors, no special camera, no coach standing behind the glass.
Prop your phone at one end of the court, ideally raised behind the glass. Portrait or landscape both work. One to five minutes of real rallies is enough.
Pick the clip from your camera roll and tell the app which player is you. The upload runs in the background, so you can put your phone away.
You get a score out of 7.0 for each technique, the specific errors the AI saw, and a set of drills chosen for the weakest part of your game.
WHAT GETS SCORED
These are the six shots that decide padel points. Every analysis scores all six on the same 1.0 to 7.0 scale that clubs use.
| Technique | What it is | What the AI looks at |
|---|---|---|
| Bandeja | The defensive overhead with backspin that keeps you at the net. | Contact point, shoulder rotation, whether you recover the net position after the shot. |
| Víbora | The aggressive overhead played with side spin and angle. | Wrist action, spin generation, target selection and how often it actually forces a weak reply. |
| Smash | The overhead you use to end the point. | Preparation time, contact height, balance on landing and shot selection under pressure. |
| Volley | Every shot you take at the net before the bounce. | Paddle height between shots, blocking versus punching, and control when the ball comes fast. |
| Wall play | Reading and playing the ball off the back and side glass. | Footwork away from the wall, timing on the rebound, and whether you rush shots you had time for. |
| Serve & return | The underhand serve and the shot that answers it. | Placement, consistency, and whether your return lets you take the net. |
FILMING GUIDE
Bad footage produces cautious scores. Good footage takes about thirty seconds to set up. Here is everything that matters.
Put it at one end of the court, not the side. Raise it if you can: on top of the back glass, on a fence hook, or in a friend's hand standing behind the court. A raised end view shows depth, and depth is what tells the AI whether your bandeja actually pushed the opponents back.
One to five minutes of real rallies beats a full hour of a match that includes water breaks and walking. If you only send one thing, send the middle of a set where the points are competitive.
The app asks you to tag yourself before the analysis starts. Wearing a shirt that is a different colour from your partner's makes this reliable for the whole clip.
WHY IT BEATS WATCHING YOURSELF
Players remember the winners. The AI counts the fifty ordinary balls in between, which is where matches are actually decided.
Your bandeja is not compared with your last match or with the friend you beat. It is compared with what a 4.0 or a 5.5 bandeja looks like.
"My net game is weak" becomes "your paddle drops between volleys, so you are late on the second ball". You can train that.
Every analysis is stored, so you can look back three months and see which technique actually moved.
FAQ
You film your padel match with any smartphone and upload the video. The AI identifies each player, tracks the ball and the rallies, and evaluates six technique categories: Bandeja, Víbora, Smash, Volley, Wall Play, and Serve and Return. Within minutes you receive scores on the 1.0 to 7.0 scale, a list of specific mistakes, and drills chosen to fix them.
A good coach standing courtside still sees more than any app, especially about your body language and your decisions under pressure. What the AI does better is consistency and memory. It applies the same standard to every match, it never gets tired in the third set, and it can compare today with a match you played four months ago. Most players use it between coaching sessions, not instead of them.
A one to five minute clip is usually analysed within a few minutes of finishing the upload. The upload runs in the background, so you can close the app and get a notification when the report is ready.
No. Any modern phone camera is enough. A tripod, a fence clamp, or simply resting the phone on top of the back glass all work. What matters is that the frame does not move and that the full court is visible.
Yes. Padel is always played four up, so the AI is built for it. You tag which of the four players is you, and the report scores your shots only.
Yes. Videos are uploaded over an encrypted connection, used only to generate your analysis, and are not shared with third parties or used to identify you. You can delete any analysis from inside the app at any time.
