WOMEN'S RACKETS

Women's padel racket,
what differs and which to buy

A women's padel racket is usually a lighter, softer version of a unisex model: about 10 g lighter, with a softer core and the same shape. It is not a different game. The right racket for a woman depends on her level, her side and her swing, and many women play unisex rackets.

Weight is the manufacturer's stated range. Balance is where the mass sits: low means towards the handle, high means towards the head. WHAT REALLY DIFFERS

What makes a racket
a women's padel racket

A women's racket is a version, not a category

Of the 1,418 rackets in our catalogue, brands label 45 as women's models, 44 as men's and 587 as unisex. The rest carry no label. So most rackets are sold to everyone, and a women's line is a small part of each brand's range.

The table above shows what the label usually means. Brands take an existing frame and make it lighter, softer or both. The Nox ML10 Pro Cup Silver 2025 is the ML10 Pro Cup at 350 to 365 g instead of 360 to 375 g, with the same EVA HR3 core, the same fibreglass face and the same €150 price. The Bullpadel Indiga Woman 2026 is the Indiga CTR 10 g lighter. The shape does not change, and the game the racket suits does not change either.

Lighter on average, but only by a little

Women's models average 352 g at the bottom of their weight range. Unisex models average 356 g and men's models 359 g. That is a real difference, but a small one. The lightest women's models, like the Siux Valkiria Elite 2 2026 and the Head Radical Team Light 2026, start at 340 g. There are also women's models at 360 to 375 g, like the Vibora Yarara Pro White 2.0 2026 and the Bullpadel Vertex 05 Woman Cloud 2026. The label does not guarantee a light racket, so read the weight.

If weight is your main concern, our lightweight padel racket guide lists every racket from 340 g, unisex and women's together.

Softer on average

The clearer difference is feel. Of the 45 women's models, 29 have a medium-soft core, which is 64%. Among unisex rackets it is 37%. Only 6 women's models are medium-hard or hard, against 31% of unisex rackets. A softer core returns the ball with less effort and sends less shock up the arm, which suits a player who builds points rather than a player who hits through the glass.

Shape is spread across the range: 22 round, 13 teardrop and 10 diamond. Brands make women's rackets for attacking players too. The Drop Shot Quantum Soft Women 2026 and the Bullpadel Vertex 05 Woman 2026 are diamonds with a medium-high balance, made to finish points.

Why many women play unisex rackets

Many strong women club players choose unisex rackets, and several women's versions differ from the unisex model only in weight. A tall player with a fast swing may find a women's model too soft and too light to hold its line against a hard ball. A player new to sport of any gender may find a standard unisex racket too heavy. The right racket depends on level, side and swing, not on gender.

So choose the way every player should. Pick the shape for your level and side: round if you build points or are still learning, teardrop for an all-round game, diamond if you finish points overhead. In a right-handed pair the left-side player hits most of the smashes and the right-side player builds the point. Then choose the core: soft or medium-soft if you want comfort and easy depth, medium or harder if you swing fast. Then pick the weight your arm is happy with for two hours. Only then look at the label.

Where the finder helps

Our AI padel racket finder never asks your gender. It ranks all 1,418 rackets, women's and unisex together, from seven answers about your level, side, goal, arm and budget. The version in the app goes further: it starts from a filmed match, and padel video analysis scores your real technique, so the shortlist fits how you actually play. If you are new to the game, the best padel racket for beginners guide applies to you as it is. If your elbow or wrist has complained before, read the best padel racket for tennis elbow first. The Bullpadel and Nox brand pages list every women's model they make next to its unisex sibling.

HOW TO CHOOSE

Four decisions,
in the right order

The same order works for every player. The label comes last.

01

Choose the shape for your level and side

Round for beginners and right-side players who build points. Teardrop for an all-round game. Diamond for a left-side player with a reliable smash.

02

Choose the core for your swing

Soft or medium-soft if you want easy depth and comfort. Medium or medium-hard if you swing fast and want the racket to hold its line.

03

Choose a weight you can hold for two hours

Most women's models start at 340 to 355 g and most unisex models at 350 to 365 g. Pick up both, and play ten volleys with each if the shop lets you.

04

Then compare women's and unisex versions

If a women's version of your chosen frame exists, compare the two. Choose the one whose weight and feel suit you, whatever the label says.

FAQ

Questions about
women's padel rackets

What is the difference between a women's and a men's padel racket?

Usually weight and feel, not shape. Women's models average 352 g at the bottom of their range against 356 g for unisex models, and 64% have a medium-soft core. Many are an existing frame made about 10 g lighter.

What is the best padel racket for women?

The one that suits your level and side. Our best overall women's model is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Silver 2025, around €150, rated 8.6. On a budget, the Bullpadel Indiga Woman 2026 at around €90.

Can a woman use a men's or unisex padel racket?

Yes. Most rackets are unisex, and many women play them. Choose by weight, balance and feel, not by the label.

What weight padel racket should a woman use?

Most women play well with 345 to 365 g. Go lighter if your arm tires or you are new to racket sports. Go heavier if you swing fast and want more power on the smash.

Are women's padel rackets lower quality?

No. Several use the same core and face as the unisex model, at the same price. The Siux Valkiria Pro 2026 has a 24K carbon face and an 8.6 catalogue rating.
