Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
PadelAI ("we", "our", "us") operates the PadelAI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Authentication Data
We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication. When you open the App, a unique anonymous identifier is automatically created. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identity information through this process.
1.2 Video Data
When you use the AI Video Analysis feature, your selected video is uploaded to Firebase Cloud Storage for processing. The video is then sent to Google's Gemini AI service for technique analysis. Videos may contain visual data of players, including their appearance, movements, and playing technique. Videos are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently on our servers after analysis is complete.
In-App Consent: Before any video data is shared with our AI service for the first time, the App will present you with a clear explanation of what data is sent, who processes it, and the purpose of the processing. Video analysis will only proceed after you have explicitly granted permission.
1.3 Analysis Results
The AI-generated analysis results — including technique scores (on the 1.0–7.0 scale), corrections, and improvement suggestions — are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
1.4 Purchase Data
Subscription and in-app purchase transactions are processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat. We receive transaction identifiers and entitlement status but do not have access to your payment details (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). RevenueCat processes this data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
1.5 Locally Stored Data
The App stores the following data locally on your device using SwiftData:
- User profile and skill level preferences
- Match history and scores
- Video analysis results and technique scores
- Tournament data
1.6 Invite Programme Data
If you take part in the invite programme, we store an invite code linked to your anonymous account, a count of the friends who joined with it, and the rewards you have earned. When a friend joins using your code, we record that their account was referred by yours. We do not tell you who they are, and we do not tell them anything about you beyond the code itself.
If you request a cash payout, the form asks for your name, email address, WhatsApp number, country and bank details. This is the only place in the App where we ask for information that identifies you directly. We collect it for one purpose: to send you the money you have asked for, and to answer you if something goes wrong. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with anyone other than the banks and payment providers needed to make the transfer. It is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore, is readable only by our administrators, and is kept for as long as our tax and accounting obligations require, then deleted.
You can ask us to delete your payout details at any time by writing to support@padelaiapp.com, unless we are required to keep them as a record of a payment we have made.
1.7 Push Notification Token
If you allow notifications, we store the push token issued to your device by Apple, along with your device language, so we can tell you when a video analysis is finished or when a friend joins with your invite link. The token identifies a device, not a person, and it is replaced whenever the operating system issues a new one.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Video Analysis: To process your padel videos through AI and return technique scores and coaching feedback
- Progress Tracking: To display your technique score history and progress over time (stored locally)
- Subscription Management: To verify your subscription status and credit balance
- App Improvement: To understand usage patterns and improve the App experience
3. Third-Party Services and AI Data Sharing
We use the following third-party services. Each third-party provider is contractually or by policy required to provide the same or equal level of protection for your data as described in this Privacy Policy:
- Firebase (Google): Anonymous authentication, cloud storage for video processing, and cloud functions for AI analysis. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's data protection standards. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google Gemini AI: Video analysis processing. When you use the Scan feature, your padel video is sent to Google's Gemini AI API for technique analysis. The AI processes the video to identify player movements, technique, and court positioning, and returns structured scoring and coaching feedback. Google processes this data under their AI terms and does not use your videos to train their AI models when accessed via API. Google AI Terms
- RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat receives transaction identifiers to manage your subscription status and coin balance. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
We only share the minimum data necessary with each third-party service to provide the App's features. Your explicit consent is obtained within the App before any video data is shared with Google's AI service for the first time.
4. Data Retention
- Videos: Uploaded videos are processed and then deleted from our servers. We do not retain your video files.
- Analysis results: Stored locally on your device only. Deleting the App removes this data.
- Anonymous auth tokens: Maintained by Firebase for session continuity. These contain no personally identifiable information.
5. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have the right to:
- Delete local data: Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data (profiles, analysis results, match history)
- Request account deletion: Contact us at support@padelaiapp.com to request deletion of your anonymous authentication record and any associated server-side data
- Manage subscriptions: Cancel or modify subscriptions through the App Store
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure cloud storage with Firebase, and local device-level encryption via SwiftData. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
