OUR READING
What the specs
mean on court
On the numbers, the Babolat Counter Vertuo 2025 makes most sense for players with elbow or arm trouble, beginners, intermediate all-rounders and intermediate right-side players. It is a weaker choice for intermediate left-side players and advanced attackers.
A round head keeps the sweet spot big and central. Mishits stay in play, and placement is easy; you supply the power on the smash yourself. The softer core holds the ball longer and gives easy depth at slow swing speeds, at the cost of some precision on hard hits.
There is a newer version, the Babolat Counter Vertuo 2026. This 2025 model is often the value buy once the new season arrives.
