OUR READING
What the specs
mean on court
On the numbers, the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025 is a niche pick: it is not in the top fifth of rackets for any of our six player types. It is a weaker choice for beginners, intermediate all-rounders and players with elbow or arm trouble.
A diamond head moves mass towards the tip. The smash and the vibora get easier; defending low balls and volleying off centre get harder. The harder core rewards a fast, clean swing with pace and precision, and punishes late contact.
Against the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2024, the published specs changed in 3 places:
- Core: EVA Medium + in 2024, EVA Medium+ in 2025.
- Face: HES Carbon in 2024, HES Carbon 8K in 2025.
- RRP: €310 in 2024, €309 in 2025.
If the older Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2024 is on sale, it is usually the better value: most season changes are cosmetic or small.

FAQ
Questions about the
Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025
Is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025 good for beginners?
No. Its diamond shape rules it out for a first racket in our engine. A round, soft racket forgives far more while your timing develops; see our beginner racket guide.
Is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025 a power or a control racket?
It plays as an all-round racket. The diamond shape and medium to high balance put the sweet spot high on the face, which adds power on the smash.
How heavy is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025?
The manufacturer lists it at 350 g. Most padel rackets sit between 350 and 375 g; this one is in the middle of that range.
Is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025 good for tennis elbow?
For a player with arm trouble it scores 65 out of 98, poor fit. A softer core would absorb more of the impact. See a physio if the pain persists.
How much does the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025 cost?
The recommended retail price is €309. UK shops usually sell below RRP, and the price drops further once the next season's model arrives.
