OUR READING
What the specs
mean on court
On the numbers, the Oxdog Ultimate Match 2025 makes most sense for players with elbow or arm trouble, intermediate left-side players, intermediate all-rounders and advanced attackers. It is a weaker choice for beginners.
A diamond head moves mass towards the tip. The smash and the vibora get easier; defending low balls and volleying off centre get harder. The softer core holds the ball longer and gives easy depth at slow swing speeds, at the cost of some precision on hard hits.
Against the Oxdog Ultimate Match 2024, the published specs changed in 3 places:
- Weight: 360 g in 2024, 355 g in 2025.
- Face: HES Carbon in 2024, HES Carbon 8K in 2025.
- RRP: €210 in 2024, €209 in 2025.
If the older Oxdog Ultimate Match 2024 is on sale, it is usually the better value: most season changes are cosmetic or small.
