Star Vie manufactures in Spain rather than outsourcing, and the catalogue leans round more heavily than most major brands. That makes it a natural place to look if you play the right side, need a large sweet spot, or have had arm trouble.

## The Star Vie lines, and what each is for

Star Vie has 86 models in the catalogue. Almost all of them belong to one of these families, so knowing the families is most of the work.

| Line | What it is for |
| --- | --- |
| Triton | The flagship attacking line, with the highest balances in the range. |
| Aquila | All-round frames that cover most club players. |
| Titania | Control and comfort, generally round with softer cores. |
| Basalto | Premium construction using basalt fibre alongside carbon. |
| Kenta | Mid-range rackets aimed at improving players. |
| Metheora | Women's frames, typically lighter with lower balances. |

## A Spanish factory brand with a control catalogue

Star Vie is one of the few padel brands that manufactures its own rackets in Spain rather than sourcing them from a shared factory in Asia, and the frames are known for the pronounced rough carbon surface the brand calls its full-plane effect, which grips the ball for spin on the bandeja and víbora. Bea González and Javi Garrido are the current tour names; Franco Stupaczuk played Star Vie before his move to Siux.

The catalogue is a control catalogue. 51% of the 86 Star Vie rackets we track are round and 35% teardrop, with just 14% diamond, and the Metheora, Astrum and Titania lines are round frames with some of the largest sweet-spot ratings in the whole database. Cores are named by hardness (EVA Soft 30 is the most common, with EVA Pro 50 on the firmer frames), and faces are 3K carbon almost throughout, in single and double layers. Prices run from €90 to €380, with a median of €253.

If you play the right side, build points rather than finish them, or have had elbow trouble, Star Vie is one of the two or three brands to look at first. The Titania is a strong first carbon racket, and the Metheora Dual is the model to try if you want control without giving up all of the power.

Weight is the manufacturer's stated range. Balance is where the mass sits: low means towards the handle, high means towards the head. Price band is the recommended retail price in euros (entry under 120, mid 120 to 200, premium 200 to 300, pro over 300); UK street prices are usually lower. Level is our reading of the shape, balance and core, not a rule.

## Which shape do you need?

### Round: Star Vie Raptor 2026 Plus

Star Vie has 44 round models. This shape suits the right side, players who build points, anyone still developing their timing, and anyone protecting an arm. Our current pick from the range is the Star Vie Raptor 2026 Plus, at around €315.

### Teardrop: Star Vie Black Titan 2026

Star Vie has 30 teardrop models. This shape suits the largest number of club players, because it gives some power without shrinking the sweet spot. Our current pick from the range is the Star Vie Black Titan 2026, at around €320.

### Diamond: Star Vie Triton Power 2026 Plus

Star Vie has 12 diamond models. This shape suits advanced attacking players who finish points with the smash and hit the middle of the strings consistently. Our current pick from the range is the Star Vie Triton Power 2026 Plus, at around €296.

## Buying a Star Vie without buying the wrong one

Brand is the last thing that should decide a padel racket, and the first thing most people decide. Once you are inside a range, three specs settle the question.

### Shape decides forgiveness

Round puts the sweet spot in the middle of the face where you actually hit the ball. Diamond moves it up towards the tip, which buys power and costs you every off-centre shot. Teardrop sits between the two and is the right answer for most club players. Star Vie covers round, teardrop, diamond, so you do not need to leave the brand to change shape.

### Core decides comfort

Soft cores hold the ball longer, forgive a slow swing and transmit less shock to the elbow. Hard EVA cores are more powerful and more precise but punish poor timing. If you have ever had tennis elbow, this single spec matters more than shape, weight and brand combined.

### Your side matters more than your level

The left side finishes points and usually wants a higher balance. The right side builds points and covers the middle, so it usually wants a larger sweet spot. Two players of the same level on opposite sides should not buy the same racket.

### Then let the data narrow it

The table above is the fastest filter: read down the shape, balance and core columns before you look at a single price, and the level column tells you who each frame was built for. Our [racket finder](https://padelaiapp.com/features/padel-racket-finder) does this across all 1,418 rackets in seven questions, and if you have run a [match analysis](https://padelaiapp.com/features/padel-video-analysis) it uses your real technique scores instead of your own estimate of your level. If you are still choosing between brands, start with our guide to the [best padel rackets](https://padelaiapp.com/rackets/best-padel-racket) or, for a first racket, the [beginner picks](https://padelaiapp.com/rackets/best-padel-racket-for-beginners).

## Questions about Star Vie rackets

### Are Star Vie rackets made in Spain?

Yes. Star Vie manufactures in Spain rather than outsourcing production, which is unusual among padel brands at this scale and is a large part of the brand's identity.

### Which Star Vie racket is best for control?

The Titania line, and the rounder Aquila models. Star Vie's catalogue is more round-shaped than most brands, so there is more genuine choice here than with Adidas or Babolat.

### Is Star Vie a good brand for players with tennis elbow?

It is a sensible place to start looking, because the range skews round with lower balances, which reduces the shock reaching the arm. Core hardness still matters more than shape, so filter on soft cores as well.
