## What the specs mean on court

On the numbers, the Babolat Air Viper 2026 makes most sense for intermediate left-side players and advanced attackers. It is a weaker choice for beginners, intermediate all-rounders, intermediate right-side players and players with elbow or arm trouble.

A diamond head moves mass towards the tip. The smash and the vibora get easier; defending low balls and volleying off centre get harder. The harder core rewards a fast, clean swing with pace and precision, and punishes late contact.

Against the [Babolat Air Viper 2025](https://padelaiapp.com/rackets/babolat/air-viper-2025), the published specs changed in 2 places:

- **Weight:** 360 to 375 g in 2025, 345 to 365 g in 2026.
- **Face:** 16K Carbon Fiber in 2025, 16K Carbon in 2026.

If the older Babolat Air Viper 2025 is on sale, it is usually the better value: most season changes are cosmetic or small.

## Questions about the Babolat Air Viper 2026

### Is the Babolat Air Viper 2026 good for beginners?

No. Its diamond shape rules it out for a first racket in our engine. A round, soft racket forgives far more while your timing develops; see our [beginner racket guide](https://padelaiapp.com/rackets/best-padel-racket-for-beginners).

### Is the Babolat Air Viper 2026 a power or a control racket?

It plays as a power racket. The diamond shape and medium to high balance put the sweet spot high on the face, which adds power on the smash.

### How heavy is the Babolat Air Viper 2026?

The manufacturer lists it at 345 to 365 g. Most padel rackets sit between 350 and 375 g; this one is on the light side, quick at the net and easier on the arm.

### Is the Babolat Air Viper 2026 good for tennis elbow?

For a player with arm trouble it scores 65 out of 98, poor fit. A softer core would absorb more of the impact. See a physio if the pain persists.

### How much does the Babolat Air Viper 2026 cost?

The recommended retail price is €320. UK shops usually sell below RRP, and the price drops further once the next season's model arrives.
