## Brand is the last thing that should decide it

Every brand on this page makes a good racket and a bad racket for you. What separates them is not quality, it is which shapes and cores they make most of, and that is what these pages document.

### The three specs that actually matter

- **Shape.** Round puts the sweet spot in the centre of the face. Diamond moves it to the tip: more power, far less forgiveness. Teardrop is between them and suits most club players.
- **Core.** Soft foam forgives and protects the arm. Hard EVA gives power and precision but punishes late timing. If you have had tennis elbow, this decides everything.
- **Balance.** High balance means mass towards the head, which means power on the smash and slower hands at the net. Low balance is the reverse.

### Where the brands actually differ

Some catalogues lean heavily one way. Oxdog is mostly diamond, so it rewards players who already have a swing. Royal Padel, Star Vie and Black Crown lean round, which makes them natural places to look if you play the right side or are protecting an arm. Siux and Head lean teardrop, which is the safest default. Knowing this saves you reading four hundred product pages.

### Do not buy the pro's racket

The single most common buying mistake in padel is picking the frame your favourite professional endorses. Those rackets are stiff, high-balance diamonds built for a swing you do not have yet, and they will make your game look worse than it is. Buy for the game you have now.

If you would rather not work through this by hand, the [racket finder](https://padelaiapp.com/features/padel-racket-finder) does it in seven questions, and it uses your real technique scores if you have run a [match analysis](https://padelaiapp.com/features/padel-video-analysis).

### Where the specs come from

Shapes, weights, cores and prices on these pages are the manufacturers' published specifications, collected in our catalogue of 1,418 models from 2020 to the current season. Prices are euro RRP. What we add is the matching: which of those rackets fits the way you actually play.

## Questions about padel racket brands

### What is the best padel racket brand?

There is no single best brand. Bullpadel, Adidas, Nox, Babolat, Head and Siux all make excellent rackets and all make rackets that would be wrong for you. What differs between them is which shapes and cores dominate their catalogue, which is why the right question is which model, not which brand.

### Which padel brand is best for beginners?

Look at brands whose catalogue leans round rather than diamond, because a round shape gives the largest central sweet spot. Royal Padel, Star Vie, Black Crown and Nox are all round-heavy. Within any brand, the entry lines, such as Adidas Drive, Bullpadel Elite or Nox X-One, are built for exactly this.

### Are expensive padel rackets better?

They are usually better made, with more carbon and more refined cores, but better made is not the same as better for you. A 350 euro professional diamond frame will produce worse results than a 120 euro round frame if your timing is still developing. Price correlates with how demanding a racket is, not with how much it helps.

### How many padel rackets are there?

Our catalogue tracks 1,418 models across 29 brands, from 2020 to the current season. These brand pages cover the 19 most searched brands and their current model lines.

### Should I buy last season's padel racket?

Very often yes. Most brands change relatively little year to year, and a previous generation model is frequently the same racket at a large discount. Siux in particular keeps many generations in production, so last season's Diablo or Electra is usually excellent value.
